ZuQu Editor: an editor for newLisp

Post by ale870 »

Dear all,

I just released a prototype version of the new editor I'm creating: ZuQu.
It is an editor with some original features, like:

1) Innovative graphics interface
2) Originally designed to manage newLisp files
3) Create plugins using newLisp
4) It is not the best editor in the world (it is not its final target). Instead it will be a very flexible editor, containing specific features that you cannot find in other editors.
5) Much more!

Well, I released a prototype version either for Windows and for Linux (I have a Mac version too, but I cannot check it since I haven't a Mac!).

You can find more information and a small guided tour on my blog:

That's quite an interesting looking app. Fairly responsive, too. I am interested to see it grow.

Looks good. I suppose I'll have to wait for a Mac binary... ?

Hello,

I'm sorry, but I did not distribute Mac version since I never used it and I have no idea what I need to do. But I have the complete version of ZuQu even for Mac too! If you want I can publish it (zip file) then you can help me to understand what I need to do to complete the distribution!

Hi Alessendro! This looks really great. Well - it certainly works on Mac OS X, and it looks very interesting.

There are lots of puzzles to solve for me... :)

The window title bar says "ZuQu Editor v0/1 = /home/alessandro/Projects/NEWLISP-ZUQU/APPLICATION/zuqu.lsp". It goes away after a while...

I can type OK! Looks promising.

The right mouse button appears to pop up some yellow buttons. These have the habit of hiding the text, but if they could be moved a bit...

I'm looking forward to finding out how to use this application!

I'm happy you like it!
About buttons position: their position is based on your mouse pointer. In fact, in order to make them functional, they appear near your mouse pointer (on the left side of editor window) ;-) Try to move mouse and press right mouse button!

Go in ZuQu forum, so you can follow the project and you can help me with your tests, suggestions, hints!

Thank you!
