Which is why Apple's come up with their campaign "If you're going to have to buy a new computer to install Vista - why not buy a Mac?"

It can be deployed as the hardware implementation of the chaffing cryptographic technique (see "Chaffing and Winnowing: Confidentiality without Encryption" http://theory.lcs.mit.edu/~rivest/chaffing.txt) and can be retrofitted to paper-tape punch output devices ( see http://ed-thelen.org/comp-hist/samp-col ...
