Re: Not all posts displayed on Active Topics or RSS

Those would be the two closed older forums that I am slooowly incorporating into the revised site.

Grand Unified Theory of AI?

MIT and Slashdot call it "Grand Unified Theory of AI".

I've found a Church wiki here. I thought it would be interesting to pass on to this group.

Re: sistemas expertos

I discovered your reply to jair after I posted my own. Very well done, Lutz! As usual. Actually he posted this three times. I took the third copy in the 'newLISP newS" fourm down. jair: Por favor, solamente uno mensaje por tema. I'm leaving the other thread up, to encourage other Spanish-speaking ne...

Re: sistemas expertos

Hola, y bienvenidos, jair! jair is Columbian, and asks about using newLISP in a legal expert system. I'm not going to admit any more of my poor comprehension of Spanish than that. There were a few trivial demonstration programs done back in the eighties, and some high-end applications in limited dom...

Thanks for taking on the English - Japanese translation, johu! Your English is fine. It's Chi-Squared that some of us (like me) don't understand.

Re: Help installing newLISP on a shared server

There are two installation documents in newlisp-1-.1.10, the README, and doc/install. They are similar, but not the same. Could they be consolidated into one document? I want to install to a non-root shared hosting account too, on a redhat server. doc/install says: "For a minimum install, only the e...

Re: New forum...

http://newlispfanclub.ryon.webfactional.com is the hosted site, and http://newlispfanclub.alh.net is the domain name. They both point to the same page, which is the photo of the newLISPies. The logon should only appear if you are at the /forum, or deeper. I'll clean the temporary webfactional.com re...

Atom feed

The nLFC now has an Atom feed:

Code: Select all

http://newlispfanclub.alh.net/forum/feed.php
Someday, when phpBB documents this feature, we may even have one of those web feed symbols on the URL line.

Re: New forum...

I've been goofing off for the past couple of weeks on an island in the Caribbean with intermittent power and nearly no internet, and hope that I can use the transition back to the real world as a good excuse for not accomplishing anything much during the next two. ;-)

Re: Unboxing after the move

We agree on merging "newLISP for Win" and "newLISP for *nix" into "newLISP and the OS". And I started putting all the non-OS posts I found in those topics into "Main discussion". But I think "main discussion" is too broad, so i split that into the new topics that you see, and also created "What can ...

Unboxing after the move

We are successfully running on our new web host, and have upgraded the system software. Whew! Two unresolved issues that are in my 'round-tuit' basket are enabling emails thru this mail server, and setting up an RSS feed. I'll get a round tuit someday. But now it is time to arrange things the way we...

Re: newLISP Fan Club is Moving!

Tim, I'm still working on it. Actually no. Today's Sunday, and I'm goofing off! ;-) I'm not sure if I can make redirects for individual posts, itistoday. If someone knows how to do this as in: 'Redirect 301 /newlisp/phpbb/index.php http://newlispfanclub.alh.net' in a .htaccess file, I'll plug it in!...

You mean email notifications? The domain hasn't been pointed to the new host yet. That will probably start tomorrow. Once it's propagated, I'll get the email working. Or, that's the plan at least!

Re: newLISP Fan Club is Moving!

M35, I just took a look at the mods to add an RSS feed to this board, and I don't want to tackle them until after the domain name is transferred. Is that okay?
